13:30 - 15:00 Gigabit Slovakia and innovative approaches in networking
The panel will bring up-to-date information on the fulfillment of the strategic materials of the National Broadband Plan and Support for the Development of 5G Networks in Slovakia by the responsible authorities. In September, the European Commission published a new Report on the Functioning of the EU, in which it significantly strengthened the goals of gigabit Europe. What about Slovakia? The discussants will also touch on the implementation of 5G networks in our environment and estimate innovative trends in mobile and fixed approach to connectivity in the coming years (6G, cloud, secure and low-energy green networks, new base station architecture, "network as chip" principle). Panelists will also be invited to comment on the growing appeal of European politicians to Europe's technological autonomy in terms of telecommunications infrastructure, as well as to possible geopolitical but also disinformation threats to new communication technologies.
